Delete Your Data

Overview

This page explains how to delete data associated with your use of the ulator-Calc app. You have two options: delete data yourself from within the app, or send us a request to delete server-stored data.

Option 1: Delete Data From Within the App

You can delete most of your data directly inside ulator-Calc at any time:

Open the ulator-Calc app on your device.
Open the Chat History screen to delete individual AI conversations and uploaded documents (PDFs, photos).
Open Settings to clear local calculation history, saved recalls, and custom slang.
To remove all locally stored data at once, uninstall the app from your device.

Option 2: Request Server Data Deletion By Email

To request deletion of data stored on our servers (AI conversations, uploaded documents, AI personalization facts), email us:

Send an email to support@calc-pal.com.
Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
In the body, include your anonymous device ID if you know it (found in the app under Settings → About). If you do not have it, describe roughly when you used the app so we can locate your data.
State whether you want all server-stored data deleted, or only specific items (e.g., a single conversation).

We will confirm deletion within 30 days of receiving your request.

What Data Is Deleted

When you submit a full deletion request, the following data is permanently removed:

All AI chat conversations linked to your anonymous device ID
Uploaded documents and photos (PDFs, blueprints, images)
AI personalization facts (e.g., preferred units, local building codes)
Locally stored history, recalls, custom slang, and preferences (when you uninstall or clear app data)

What Data Is Kept (and Why)

Some data may be retained for limited purposes:

Subscription and purchase records are retained by our payments processor (RevenueCat) and the app stores (Google Play, Apple) for as long as required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws — typically up to 7 years. This data is tied to your store account, not to your in-app activity.
Anonymized server logs (e.g., error logs, request counts) may be retained for up to 90 days for security and reliability, and contain no personal identifiers.

Third-Party Services

Audio sent to Deepgram for transcription is processed in real time and is not retained by Deepgram. Data sent to OpenAI via the API is not used for model training and is retained by OpenAI only for short-term abuse monitoring per their API data policy. We do not need to submit a separate deletion request to these processors on your behalf.
